I had popped in to the reserve for two consecutive short lunchtimes but the IBIS had not been cooperative in terms of a clear appearance. It had been lingering at the far side of Wath Ings for a few days. I was just about to leave the hide and news came in that the bird was showing in front of the screen at the Field Pool Hide.
There it was indeed but it was still quite a distance and doing a great job at bobbing and weaving in and out of the rushes. I used my 1DX with 500mm and 2 x TC to get the following images.
